The Army Corps of Engineers will reduce outflow from an upper Missouri River reservoir despite concerns that it will impact shipping on the Mississippi River, the Corps said Tuesday.
The flow from the Gavins Point Dam in South Dakota will decrease from 17,000 to 12,000 on November 23.

According to the Associated Press in this story from BSD.com, the Army Corps of Engineers said that the Mississippi had finally quit flowing into the breached levee at Birds Point, Missouri.
