Powder Valley Conservation Nature Center (building and grounds) in St. Louis metro will be CLOSED January 7-8-9 for an archery managed hunt. The facility will open as usual on January 10.

When it reopens, bring your binoculars and cameras and take advantage of a new birding blind in the bird feeding area off Tanglevine Trail.

View the many species of birds visiting the bird feeders and water
feature. You might also see deer, both does and bucks, visiting the area. While on the trail and in the blind be very still and quiet–you can experience more of nature by blending in than standing out. Bird field guides are also recommended.

The blind was made possible in part by a gift from the Missouri Nature and Environmental Photographers (MoNEP). MoNEP is partly responsible for the nature photo exhibits at the facility. Visit http://www.monep.org for information about MoNEP.
