Former Missouri gun rights U.S. Rep dies

ShareHarold L. Volkmer, a 20-year Democratic congressman from northeast Missouri known for his advocacy of the rights of gun owners, has died. He was 80.
Volkmer died Saturday, April 16, at a Hannibal nursing home after several bouts of pneumonia, according to the James O’Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal.

Riverways ranger Bryan Culpepper passes away

ShareVia Bill O’Donnell and Kally Higgins comes the news that Bryan Culpepper, longtime Ozark Riverways interpretive ranger, passed away on Nov. 25 after losing his battle with cancer.
While Traveler does not normally carry obituaries, Culpepper was nominated both last year and this in our Readers Choice for favorite photographer, a skill where he excelled.
